The bar has the traditional feel of a good Sussex country pub, a large inglenook fireplace dominating one wall.  In the winter months the blazing log fire is a welcome sight to all.

During the summer, you can watch the world go by in the pub’s front terrace garden.  There is also a large garden to the rear of the pub which looks out over the Rother river valley towards Bodiam Castle.  Meals from the various menus can be enjoyed in both gardens.

A menu for light meals and bar snacks is available or you can order from the restaurant menu.  The bar has a wide selection of fine beers to offer from local Sussex ales to more exotic continental lagers.  Likewise, the wine list is extensive, including wines to most people’s taste.  Please refer to the lists set out below.
